Paraguay Background
Data sourced: 2026.   Page updated: 2026-08-10

In Paraguay, e-cigarettes (including disposable e-cigarettes) and vaping are allowed by law. However, there are some restrictions on these products. Vaping products are not allowed to be purchased through online channels. Manufacturers are required to notify the authorities of new vaping products. Manufacturers are also required to place health warnings on the packaging of vaping products and use only child- and tamper-proof containers. No restrictions exist on flavours, but nicotine content should not exceed 20 mg/ml. Restrictions also exist on vaping in public places.

There were an estimated 244,844 current vapers in Paraguay in 2022, representing an adult current vaping prevalence of 4.8%. This prevalence was 2.9% among females and 6.7% among males in 2022.
