The adult daily use prevalence of this product was notably high at 29.7%, indicating a significant portion of users consume the product regularly. Traditional smokeless tobacco is allowed in Madagascar. Hence, the use, sale, and online purchase of the product are legal. However, there is a requirement for health warnings on packaging, and the minimum legal age for purchase is 18 years. Also, advertising of smokeless tobacco is banned, reflecting efforts to reduce tobacco exposure.
