W 2016 roku liczbę dorosłych użytkowników tradycyjnych bezdymnych wyrobów tytoniowych w Sudanie oszacowano na 1,8 miliona. Odsetek dorosłych aktualnie używających tych produktów wynosił 7,9 procent. Wśród dorosłych mężczyzn odsetek ten sięgał 14,3 procent, natomiast wśród dorosłych kobiet wynosił 0,2 procent. Codzienne używanie tradycyjnych bezdymnych wyrobów tytoniowych zadeklarowało 6,7 procent dorosłych. Wśród mężczyzn odsetek codziennych użytkowników wynosił 12,3 procent, a wśród kobiet 0,1 procent. Tradycyjne bezdymne wyroby tytoniowe są w Sudanie legalne i podlegają regulacjom jako produkty tytoniowe. Obowiązuje całkowity zakaz reklamy tych produktów. Ich sprzedaż oraz używanie są dopuszczalne przez prawo. Dozwolony jest również zakup tradycyjnych bezdymnych wyrobów tytoniowych przez Internet. Przepisy nakładają obowiązek umieszczania ostrzeżeń zdrowotnych na opakowaniach, a sprzedaż tych produktów osobom poniżej 18. roku życia jest zakazana i podlega egzekwowaniu.
