W Libanie odsetek osób palących tytoń wśród dorosłych w wieku 15 lat i starszych jest wyjątkowo wysoki, o czym świadczą najnowsze dostępne dane z 2022 roku. Ogólna częstość palenia wśród dorosłych wyniosła 34%, co podkreśla poważny problem zdrowia publicznego. Dane dotyczące płci wskazują na wyraźną różnicę: w 2022 roku 43,1% mężczyzn i 25,7% kobiet paliło tytoń. Liczbę palaczy w kraju oszacowano na 1 692 101 osób. Dla porównania, dane z lat poprzednich pokazują niewielki spadek odsetka palących kobiet z 25,9% w 2020 roku do 25,7% w 2022 roku, natomiast wśród mężczyzn odnotowano nieznaczny wzrost z 42,8% do 43,1% w tym samym okresie.
