En Líbano, la prevalencia del consumo de tabaco entre adultos de 15 años o más es considerablemente alta, según los datos más recientes disponibles de 2022. La prevalencia general de tabaquismo en adultos fue del 34%, lo que representa una importante preocupación de salud pública. Los datos desglosados por género muestran una diferencia significativa en las tasas de consumo: en 2022, el 43.1% de los hombres y el 25.7% de las mujeres eran fumadores. Se estima que el número total de fumadores en el país fue de 1,692,101 personas. En comparación con años anteriores, se observa una leve disminución en la prevalencia de fumadoras, pasando del 25.9% en 2020 al 25.7% en 2022, mientras que en los hombres hubo un ligero aumento de 42.8% a 43.1% en el mismo periodo.
