En Senegal, la terapia de sustitución de nicotina (TSN) está permitida y es legal vender y usar productos de TSN. Estos productos se encuentran disponibles en farmacias de todo el país; sin embargo, se requiere receta médica para comprarlos. Aunque la TSN no está regulada como un medicamento ni incluida en la lista nacional de medicamentos esenciales, el gobierno ofrece apoyo financiero parcial para ayudar a cubrir su costo. Además, la publicidad de los productos de TSN está regulada.
