В Сенегале использование препаратов никотинозаместительной терапии (НЗТ) разрешено, и продажа, а также применение продукции НЗТ являются законными. Такие препараты доступны в аптеках по всей стране, однако для их приобретения требуется рецепт. Хотя НЗТ официально не регулируется как лекарственное средство и не входит в перечень жизненно необходимых препаратов, государство оказывает частичную финансовую поддержку для компенсации их стоимости. Кроме того, реклама продукции НЗТ находится под государственным контролем.
