W Senegalu terapia zastępcza nikotynowa (NRT) jest dozwolona, a sprzedaż i stosowanie produktów NRT są legalne. Produkty te są dostępne w aptekach na terenie całego kraju, jednak do ich zakupu wymagana jest recepta. Chociaż NRT nie jest regulowana jako produkt leczniczy i nie znajduje się na krajowej liście podstawowych leków, rząd częściowo finansuje jej koszty. Dodatkowo reklama produktów NRT podlega przepisom.
