En 2010, había aproximadamente 41,000 usuarios actuales de tabaco sin humo tradicional en Eritrea. La prevalencia de consumo actual en adultos era del 2.2% en general—11.6% en los hombres y solo 0.1% en las mujeres. La prevalencia de consumo diario era del 2%, con un 10.8% de hombres y un 0.1% de mujeres que usaban tabaco sin humo todos los días. El tabaco sin humo tradicional está permitido en Eritrea y se regula como un producto de tabaco, por lo que su uso y venta son legales, y también es legal adquirirlo en línea.
