Traditional smokeless tobacco is allowed and regulated as a tobacco product in Gabon. The use and sale of the product are legal, but online purchases are not permitted. Advertising of smokeless tobacco is regulated. Unlike many countries, health warnings on packaging are not required. However, the minimum legal age for purchasing smokeless tobacco is 18 years. In terms of prevalence, as of 2014, the adult current use prevalence of traditional smokeless tobacco was 0.48% among men and 0.34% among women in the country.
