E-cigarettes are legal in the Czech Republic, and their sale and use are permitted under regulation. They are available in general retail outlets; however, online sales are not allowed. The regulatory framework includes several measures. Notifications of new products are required, and both childproof and tamperproof containers are mandatory. Health warnings on packaging are also required. Sales are restricted to individuals aged 18 years and above. Additionally, there are restrictions on nicotine content, which limit it to 20 mg/ml or less, and tank sizes are restricted to 2 ml or less (2025). However, there are no restrictions on flavour range. The use of e-cigarettes in public places is also regulated and restricted. In another survery conducted in 2017 on the perception of harm by e-cigarettes show that 56% of respondents viewed e-cigarettes as harmful or more harmful than cigarettes, 30% believed they were less harmful or not harmful, and 14% were unsure.
