In Brazil, e-cigarettes are classified as tobacco products. Resolution RDC, no 46 (2009) prohibits the sale, advertisement, distribution and importation of any electronic smoking devices, accessories or refills. As tobacco products, their use in public places and on public transportation is prohibited by Decree no 2.018 (1996).
