В Мали по данным на 2024 год текущая распространённость курения табака среди взрослых в возрасте 15 лет и старше составляет 6%, при этом отмечается значительная гендерная разница: среди мужчин этот показатель составляет 11,5%, а среди женщин — лишь 0,4%. Для сравнения, в 2020 году общий уровень курения среди взрослых был немного выше — 6,6%, среди мужчин — 12,7%, среди женщин — 0,6%. Оценочное количество людей, которые курят в Мали в 2024 году, составляет 782 000 человек. В 2021 году летальные исходы, связанные с курением, составили 1,83% от всех случаев смерти в стране, что эквивалентно 4 273 смертям. Гендерная структура смертности от причин, связанных с курением, выглядела следующим образом: у мужчин — 2,41% (3 157 случаев), у женщин — 1,09% (1 116 случаев).
