На Мальдивах использование препаратов никотин-заместительной терапии (НЗТ) разрешено, и продажа, покупка и использование продукции НЗТ допускаются по рецепту. Эти средства регулируются как лекарственные препараты и доступны в аптеках. Государство полностью финансирует расходы на приобретение НЗТ, поскольку они включены в перечень жизненно необходимых лекарственных средств страны.
