В Ямайке разрешены продажа, покупка (включая онлайн и через торговые автоматы), использование и импорт сигарет. Однако существуют определённые ограничения: на упаковке сигарет обязательны предупреждения о вреде для здоровья, продажа разрешена только гражданам старше 18 лет, а также действуют ограничительные меры на курение в общественных местах. Общая налоговая ставка на сигареты составляет 39%. По состоянию на 2024 год в Ямайке насчитывалось примерно 248 000 человек, которые на данный момент курят табак; распространённость курения среди взрослых составляла 11,4%, в том числе 18,5% среди мужчин и 4,5% среди женщин. В 2021 году, по оценкам, было зарегистрировано 1300 смертей, связанных с курением табака, из них 929 среди мужчин и 330 среди женщин. Это свидетельствует о том, что курение стало причиной 5,19% всех случаев смерти в стране: 7,24% смертей среди мужчин и 2,89% среди женщин за тот год.
