Распространённость текущего употребления среди мужчин достигала 17,3%, среди женщин — 0,4%. Ежедневно традиционные бесдымные табачные изделия употребляли 7,6% взрослых (15,5% мужчин и 0,3% женщин). Традиционные бесдымные табачные изделия легальны в Алжире и регулируются в качестве табачной продукции. Продажа и использование этих изделий разрешены, также допускается их приобретение через интернет. Тем не менее на упаковке должны размещаться предупреждения о вреде для здоровья, а продажа разрешена только с 18 лет.
