В Алжире отсутствуют специальные законы, регулирующие стиковые табачные изделия (ПНТ). Однако такие изделия классифицируются как табачная продукция. На основании этой классификации некоторые источники отмечают, что табачные изделия можно ввозить в страну для личного пользования. Ограничения по ассортименту вкусов отсутствуют. Вместе с тем действуют важные ограничения: на упаковке табачных изделий должно размещаться предупреждение о вреде для здоровья, минимальный возраст для покупки составляет 18 лет, а их употребление запрещено в общественных местах. Кроме того, запрещены любые формы маркетинга и рекламы этих изделий.
