В Доминиканской Республике курение разрешено с определёнными ограничениями. Продажа сигарет разрешена, также допускается приобретение сигарет через торговые автоматы. Разрешён и онлайн-покупка сигарет, а также их импорт для торговли при наличии импортной лицензии. На сигаретных упаковках обязательны предупреждения о вреде для здоровья, а минимальный возраст для их покупки составляет 18 лет. Также действуют законодательные ограничения на курение в некоторых общественных местах, таких как образовательные и медицинские учреждения. На сигареты установлен совокупный налог в размере 0,45. По данным на 2024 год в Доминиканской Республике насчитывалось 984 000 человек, которые курят в настоящее время. Согласно данным за 2022 год, распространённость курения среди взрослых составляла 9,1% — 12,5% среди мужчин и 5,7% среди женщин.
