В 2020 году в Кабо-Верде насчитывалось примерно 18 300 человек, которые в настоящее время употребляют традиционные бездымные табачные изделия. Общая распространённость употребления традиционных бездымных табачных изделий среди взрослых составляла 4,7 процента, причём среди женщин этот показатель был выше — 5,8 процента, а среди мужчин — 3,5 процента. Распространённость ежедневного употребления бездымного табака среди взрослых составляла 3,6 процента, включая 4,6 процента среди женщин и 2,6 процента среди мужчин. Традиционные бездымные табачные изделия разрешены и регулируются в Кабо-Верде как табачная продукция. Импорт этого продукта для торговли разрешён по лицензии, и продажа также легальна. Однако действует запрет на любую рекламу. Онлайн-покупка традиционных бездымных табачных изделий не разрешена. Кроме того, по закону на упаковке должны размещаться предупреждения о вреде для здоровья, а продажа допускается только с 18 лет.
