W Iraku w 2018 roku było około 45 700 osób obecnie używających tradycyjnych bezdymnych wyrobów tytoniowych. Odsetek dorosłych użytkowników wynosił 0,2%, przy czym nie odnotowano użycia wśród kobiet, a wśród mężczyzn wskaźnik ten wyniósł 0,4%. Produkt ten jest legalnie dopuszczony i regulowany jako wyrób tytoniowy. Na mocy obowiązujących przepisów używanie, kupowanie i sprzedaż tradycyjnych bezdymnych wyrobów tytoniowych są w kraju dozwolone. Wprowadzone zostały jednak pewne ograniczenia: całkowity zakaz reklamy wyrobów bezdymnych oraz wymóg umieszczania ostrzeżeń zdrowotnych na opakowaniach. Minimalny wiek uprawniający do zakupu to 18 lat.
