W Iraku nie istnieje szczególna ustawa dotycząca podgrzewanych wyrobów tytoniowych (HTP), jednak ogólne przepisy regulujące produkty tytoniowe obejmują również HTP. Zgodnie z obowiązującymi przepisami, import podgrzewanych wyrobów tytoniowych na użytek własny jest nielegalny, ich reklama jest zabroniona, na opakowaniach muszą znajdować się ostrzeżenia zdrowotne, a minimalny wiek uprawniający do zakupu to 18 lat.
