В Ираке в 2018 году насчитывалось примерно 45 700 человек, употребляющих традиционные бездымные табачные изделия. Распространённость среди взрослых составляла 0,2%, при этом среди женщин не зарегистрировано случаев употребления, а среди мужчин этот показатель составлял 0,4%. Данный продукт разрешён законом и регулируется как табачное изделие. В соответствии с действующими правилами, в стране разрешено употреблять, приобретать и продавать традиционные бездымные табачные изделия, однако существуют определённые ограничения: полностью запрещена реклама таких изделий, а упаковка должна содержать предупреждения о вреде для здоровья. Минимальный возраст для покупки этих продуктов составляет 18 лет.
