Na Fidżi palenie tytoniu jest dozwolone z pewnymi ograniczeniami. Sprzedaż papierosów jest legalna, jednak kupowanie ich w automatach jest zabronione. Zakup papierosów przez internet oraz ich import w celach handlowych są dozwolone po uzyskaniu odpowiedniej licencji. Na opakowaniach papierosów obowiązują ostrzeżenia zdrowotne, a minimalny wiek uprawniający do zakupu tych produktów wynosi 18 lat. Istnieją też prawne ograniczenia dotyczące palenia w miejscach publicznych, a reklama wyrobów tytoniowych podlega regulacjom. Podatek od papierosów wynosi w sumie 39%. Jeśli chodzi o rozpowszechnienie palenia, w 2022 roku odsetek dorosłych palących wynosił 27,3%—41,7% wśród mężczyzn i 13,1% wśród kobiet. W 2021 roku szacunkowo 915 zgonów przypisano paleniu tytoniu, w tym 670 zgonów wśród mężczyzn i 245 wśród kobiet. Oznacza to, że palenie odpowiadało za około 9,75% wszystkich zgonów w kraju—12,78% wśród mężczyzn oraz 5,91% wśród kobiet.
