En Fiji, fumar está permitido bajo ciertas restricciones. La venta de cigarrillos es legal, pero no se permite comprarlos en máquinas expendedoras. La compra de cigarrillos en línea y su importación para comercialización es legal si se cuenta con una licencia. Es obligatorio que los paquetes de cigarrillos incluyan advertencias sanitarias, y la edad mínima legal para comprarlos es de 18 años. También existen restricciones legales para fumar en espacios públicos y la publicidad de estos productos está regulada. Los cigarrillos están gravados con una tasa total del 39%. En cuanto a la prevalencia, en 2022 el consumo actual de tabaco en adultos fue del 27.3%, con un 41.7% entre los hombres y un 13.1% entre las mujeres. En 2021, se estimaron 915 muertes atribuibles al consumo de tabaco, de las cuales 670 correspondieron a hombres y 245 a mujeres. Esto indica que fumar representó aproximadamente el 9.75% de todas las muertes en el país—el 12.78% entre los hombres y el 5.91% entre las mujeres.
