En Tonga, fumar tabaco está permitido con ciertas restricciones. La venta e importación de cigarrillos son legales, incluidas las compras a través de máquinas expendedoras y plataformas en línea. El país aplica varias medidas regulatorias, como una edad mínima legal de 18 años para la compra y limitaciones para fumar en espacios públicos. Tonga aplica una tasa total de impuestos de 0.67 sobre los cigarrillos. En 2022, el 30.7% de los adultos en Tonga eran fumadores actuales de tabaco, con una prevalencia del 15.5% entre las mujeres y del 46.8% entre los hombres.
