Hasta 2018, Mali contaba con aproximadamente 19.100 consumidores actuales de tabaco tradicional sin humo. La prevalencia general de consumo actual de este producto entre adultos era del 0,2 %, pero entre las mujeres alcanzaba el 1,3 %. Desde el punto de vista regulatorio, el tabaco tradicional sin humo está permitido y regulado como producto de tabaco en el país. Por lo tanto, el uso y la venta de estos productos son legales, aunque no se permite la compra en línea. Se exige la inclusión de advertencias sanitarias en el empaquetado y está prohibida toda forma de publicidad. Además, la edad mínima legal para comprar tabaco sin humo es de 18 años, como parte de los esfuerzos para limitar el acceso de los jóvenes.
