La prevalencia total de consumo actual entre adultos fue del 4.3 por ciento, con un 6.3 por ciento entre mujeres y un 2.1 por ciento entre hombres. La prevalencia de consumo diario fue del 3.1 por ciento en general, incluyendo un 4.5 por ciento en mujeres y un 1.6 por ciento en hombres. El tabaco tradicional sin humo está permitido y regulado como producto de tabaco en Botsuana. Es legal usar, vender y comprar este producto. La edad mínima legal para la venta es de 18 años. Sin embargo, no se exige que los envases incluyan advertencias sanitarias.
