En 2017, había aproximadamente 60,300 consumidores actuales de tabaco tradicional sin humo en Botsuana. La prevalencia total de consumo actual entre adultos fue del 4.3 por ciento, con un 6.3 por ciento entre mujeres y un 2.1 por ciento entre hombres. La prevalencia de consumo diario fue del 3.1 por ciento en general, incluyendo un 4.5 por ciento en mujeres y un 1.6 por ciento en hombres. El tabaco tradicional sin humo está permitido y regulado como producto de tabaco en Botsuana. Es legal usar, vender y comprar este producto. La edad mínima legal para la venta es de 18 años.
