Распространённость ежедневного употребления — 3,1 процента в общей популяции, в том числе 4,5 процента среди женщин и 1,6 процента среди мужчин. Традиционные бездымные табачные изделия разрешены в стране и регулируются как табачная продукция. Их можно легально употреблять, продавать и покупать. Минимальный допустимый возраст для покупки составляет 18 лет. Тем не менее, требования к обязательному размещению предупреждений о вреде для здоровья на упаковке отсутствуют.
