По данным Всемирной организации здравоохранения (ВОЗ), распространённость курения табака среди взрослых в возрасте 15 лет и старше в Ботсване по состоянию на 2024 год оценивалась в 14,2%. Согласно данным о смертности, связанной с курением табака в Ботсване за 2021 год, курение стало причиной 4,23% всех случаев смерти — 909 среди мужчин и 278 среди женщин, что в совокупности составляет 1 188 случаев.
