En 2017, había 222,9 mil usuarios actuales de cigarrillos electrónicos en Bangladesh, con una prevalencia de vapeo entre adultos del 0,2%, y un 0,4% de los adultos había probado el vapeo alguna vez. En enero de 2025, Bangladesh aprobó una ley estricta que regula los cigarrillos electrónicos, reforzando considerablemente el marco legal respecto a su uso y distribución. Según esta ley, se prohíbe toda forma de publicidad de cigarrillos electrónicos. Ahora es ilegal importar cigarrillos electrónicos o nicotina tanto para consumo personal como para fines comerciales. Además, está prohibida la venta de dispositivos de cigarrillos electrónicos y nicotina, y también se encuentra vetada la compra de estos productos en línea.
