Tobacco smoking-related mortality remains a significant issue in the Yemen, with 16,858 deaths attributed to tobacco smoking in 2021, accounting for 7.77% of all deaths. Gender-specific data indicate that deaths due to smoking constituted 9.74% of all male deaths and 4.91% of all female deaths in the same year.
