Heated Tobacco Products (HTPs) are banned in the Maldives by law, prohibiting their import, sale, use, and all forms of advertisement. The general tax rates for tobacco products are set at 200% of the cost, insurance, and freight (CIF) value of tobacco products (excluding cigarettes) and items used for their consumption, applied at the time of importation.
