In Kuwait, the most recent data from 2014 shows that around 6,000 people use traditional smokeless tobacco. The overall adult prevalence in the same year was reported to be 0.2%, with no reported use among women and 0.5% among men. Smokeless tobacco is regulated as a tobacco product in Kuwait. It is legal to buy the product online, but all advertising is banned. Health warnings on packaging are required, and there is a minimum age restriction of 21 years for purchasing smokeless tobacco products.
