In Georgia, Heated Tobacco Products (HTPs) are allowed for sale and use. However, sales through online channels and vending machines are prohibited. The law requires health warnings on HTP packaging, and the minimum legal age for purchasing HTPs is 18 years. Restrictions also exist on the flavours and use of HTPs in public places.
In terms of prevalence, an estimated 50,024 adults in Georgia were current users of HTPs in 2021, representing a current HTP prevalence of 1.6%. HTP use was more prevalent among men with 2.5% than women with 0.7%. In the same year, daily HTP use was reported by approximately 31,265 adults (1.0%), with a higher prevalence among men (1.4%) than women (0.6%).
