Bulgaria allows e-cigarettes and vaping, including their importation, sale, use, and possession. However, there are some restrictions on use and trade of these products. Manufacturers are required to use child-resistant and tamper-proof containers, include health warnings on their packaging, and limit nicotine concentrations to 20 mg/ml, with a tank capacity of no more than 10 ml. A minimum age of 18 years is required to purchase e-cigarettes, and vaping is prohibited in public places.

The current vaping prevalence among adults in Bulgaria was 3% in 2022, with an estimated 66,813 vapers in 2021. The prevalence of vaping among adults was 3% among females and 4% among males in 2023. The prevalence of daily vaping among adults was 1.5%, representing an estimated 86,110 daily vapers.
