В Того по состоянию на 2024 год распространённость употребления табака среди взрослых в возрасте 15 лет и старше составляла 4,5%. Этот показатель отражает небольшой спад по сравнению с 4,9% в 2020 году и 7,2% в 2019 году. Среди мужчин уровень употребления табачных изделий снизился с 9,3% в 2020 году до 8,9% в 2022 году и 8,6% в 2024 году, продолжая тенденцию к снижению с 13,5% в 2019 году. У женщин этот показатель остался относительно стабильным — 0,5% в 2020 и 2022 годах, 0,4% в 2024 году, по сравнению с 0,8% в 2019 году. Общее число людей, которые курят, в 2024 году составляло примерно 256 000. В 2020 году этот показатель был около 231 520, а в 2019 году — 330 057. Распространённость ежедневного курения среди взрослых в 2017 году составляла 5,8%, при этом среди мужчин — 11,2%, среди женщин — 0,7%. По данным за 2021 год, число смертей, связанных с употреблением табака, составило 2 296, из которых 1 844 — мужчины и 452 — женщины. Процент всех смертей, обусловленных употреблением табака, в 2021 году составлял 3,65%, при этом среди мужчин — 5,42%, а среди женщин — 1,57%. Эти данные отражают основные показатели распространённости курения и связанных с ним случаев смертности в Того.
