W Togo rozpowszechnienie palenia tytoniu wśród osób dorosłych w wieku 15 lat i starszych wyniosło w 2022 roku szacunkowo 4,7%. Oznacza to niewielki spadek w stosunku do 4,9% odnotowanych w 2020 roku oraz 7,2% w 2019 roku. Wśród mężczyzn odsetek palących zmniejszył się z 9,3% w 2020 roku do 8,9% w 2022 roku, kontynuując tendencję spadkową z poziomu 13,5% w 2019 roku. W przypadku kobiet wskaźnik ten pozostawał względnie stabilny na poziomie 0,5% w latach 2020–2022, podczas gdy w 2019 roku wynosił 0,8%. Liczbę palaczy w 2022 roku oszacowano na około 235 620. W 2020 roku było to około 231 520 osób, natomiast w 2019 roku — 330 057. W 2017 roku odsetek osób dorosłych palących codziennie wynosił 5,8%, w tym 11,2% wśród mężczyzn i 0,7% wśród kobiet. Według danych dotyczących zgonów związanych z paleniem z 2021 roku odnotowano 2 296 przypadków śmiertelnych, z czego 1 844 wśród mężczyzn i 452 wśród kobiet. Udział zgonów przypisywanych paleniu tytoniu stanowił 3,65% wszystkich zgonów w 2021 roku; w przypadku mężczyzn było to 5,42%, a wśród kobiet 1,57%. Przedstawione dane podsumowują skalę palenia tytoniu oraz liczbę powiązanych z nim zgonów w Togo.
