Электронные сигареты разрешены в Канаде с соблюдением определённых правил. Их можно легально продавать, использовать и покупать онлайн, при этом допускается размещение заявлений о пользе для здоровья. Электронные сигареты доступны в обычных розничных магазинах и облагаются акцизным налогом более 50% или на уровне, сопоставимом с налогом на традиционные сигареты. Согласно данным за 2021 год, в Канаде насчитывалось примерно 1,6 миллиона взрослых, которые в то время регулярно пользовались электронными сигаретами, что составляло 5% уровня распространённости этой привычки среди взрослого населения. Этот показатель был выше среди мужчин (6%), чем среди женщин (4%). В 2021 году ежедневное использование электронных сигарет среди взрослых составляло 3% в целом: 2% среди женщин и 3% среди мужчин.
