W Katarze terapia zastępcza nikotynowa (NRT) jest dopuszczona prawnie, a jej produkty podlegają regulacjom jako produkty lecznicze. W związku z tym sprzedaż preparatów NRT jest legalna, jednak ich zakup wymaga recepty. Produkty NRT są dostępne w aptekach na terenie całego kraju. Rząd popiera stosowanie NRT, ponieważ znajduje się ona na liście leków podstawowych w Katarze. W związku z tym koszty terapii zastępczej nikotynowej są w całości pokrywane przez państwo.
