E-papierosy zawierające nikotynę są w Jamaice klasyfikowane jako leki i podlegają ustawie o żywności i lekach z 1975 roku, która zabrania sprzedaży, dystrybucji, importu lub produkcji produktów leczniczych niezgłoszonych do Ministerstwa Zdrowia. Do tej pory żaden e-papieros nie został zatwierdzony w tym trybie. Niemniej jednak na wyspie działają sklepy z vapami. Zgodnie z ustawą o zdrowiu publicznym – Rozporządzeniem w sprawie ochrony zdrowia publicznego (kontrola wyrobów tytoniowych) z 2014 roku – e-papierosy są traktowane jako wyroby tytoniowe, a ich używanie jest zabronione w transporcie publicznym oraz w miejscach publicznych.
