Chociaż w Ghanie nie ma oficjalnych statystyk dotyczących używania tradycyjnych bezdymnych wyrobów tytoniowych, produkt ten jest dozwolony i podlega regulacjom jako wyrób tytoniowy. Tym samym używanie i sprzedaż bezdymnego tytoniu są legalne, jednak zakup tego produktu przez internet jest zabroniony. Ponadto obowiązuje całkowity zakaz reklamy we wszystkich środkach przekazu. Na opakowaniach muszą się znajdować ostrzeżenia zdrowotne, a sprzedaż jest dozwolona wyłącznie osobom, które ukończyły 18 lat.
