Aunque no existen estadísticas oficiales sobre el consumo de tabaco sin humo tradicional en Ghana, este producto está permitido y se regula como un producto de tabaco en el país. Por lo tanto, el uso y la venta de tabaco sin humo son legales, pero no se permite la compra del producto por internet. Además, está completamente prohibida la publicidad en todos los medios de comunicación. Se requiere la inclusión de advertencias sanitarias en el empaquetado, y el producto solo puede venderse a personas mayores de 18 años.
