Los productos de tabaco calentado están regulados conforme a los productos de tabaco tradicionales. En 2018, la Comisión de Finanzas votó para promulgar e implementar una nueva orden fiscal para los productos de tabaco calentado, estableciendo así que los palillos de tabaco calentado (HEETS) estén sujetos al mismo nivel impositivo que los cigarrillos.
