La terapia de sustitución de nicotina (TSN) está permitida en Irak y sus productos se regulan como medicamentos. Es legal usar y vender productos de TSN, y se permite comprarlos sin receta médica. Estos productos están disponibles en farmacias de todo el país. El gobierno respalda la TSN, ya que está incluida en la lista de medicamentos esenciales de Irak. Por lo tanto, el costo de la TSN está parcialmente cubierto por el gobierno.
