В Ираке разрешено применение никотин-заместительной терапии (НЗТ), и её препараты регулируются как лекарственные средства. Использование и продажа продукции НЗТ являются законными, приобретать эти препараты можно без рецепта. Препараты НЗТ доступны в аптеках по всей стране. Государство поддерживает НЗТ, поскольку она включена в перечень жизненно важных лекарственных средств Ирака. Таким образом, стоимость НЗТ частично покрывается государством.
