En Ecuador es legal vender y usar cigarrillos electrónicos, conocidos como “Sistemas Electrónicos de Administración de Nicotina”, los cuales están incluidos en el Decreto No. 1047 y en la Ley para la Regulación y Control del Tabaco de 2011. Las restricciones sobre fumar en lugares públicos también se aplican a los cigarrillos electrónicos. La publicidad de estos productos solo está permitida en lugares de acceso exclusivo para adultos. Las restricciones no se aplican a los cigarrillos electrónicos que no contienen nicotina.
