La terapia de sustitución de nicotina (TSN) está permitida en Argelia y sus productos se regulan como medicamentos. Por lo tanto, es legal utilizar y vender productos de TSN, y se pueden adquirir sin receta médica. Estos productos están disponibles en farmacias de todo el país. Aunque el gobierno no brinda actualmente apoyo financiero para la TSN, esta se encuentra incluida en la lista de medicamentos esenciales de Argelia.
