Los cigarrillos electrónicos están prohibidos por ley en Chile, incluyendo su compra por internet. Sin embargo, datos de 2022 indican que había aproximadamente 153.800 personas usuarias actuales de vapeadores en el país. La prevalencia de vapeo actual de cigarrillos electrónicos en adultos fue de 1% en total, con un 0,5% entre mujeres y un 1,4% entre hombres. Ese mismo año, la prevalencia de vapeo diario de cigarrillos electrónicos en adultos se estimó en 0,6% en general, incluyendo un 0,3% entre mujeres y un 0,9% entre hombres.
