In Togo, e-cigarettes are allowed and regulated as tobacco products. Their advertising is banned and strictly regulated. The sale of devices as well as nicotine is legal, and they can be purchased without a prescription. There is a minimum age restriction of 18 years for vaping products.
In terms of prevalence, a study by Sreeramareddy CT found that the prevalence of e-cigarette use among youths (11–13) in Togo was 1.2% in 2019. However, there is a lack of data on the overall national vaping prevalence in the country. Vaping is also restricted in public places.
