In Togo, e-cigarettes are allowed and regulated as tobacco products. Advertising is banned and strictly regulated. The sale of both devices and nicotine is legal, and they can be purchased without a prescription. Additionally, e-cigarette products are marketed in the country. There are minimum age restrictions, with sales limited to individuals 18 years and older.
In terms of prevalence, a study by Sreeramareddy CT found that the prevalence of e-cigarette use among youths (11–13) in Togo was 1.2% in 2019. However, there is a lack of data on the overall national prevalence of e-cigarette use in the country.
